AWS SECURITY ENGINEER

QUALIFICATIONS.
Advanced English Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field.
AWS certifications.
AWS Certified Security - Specialty,   Proficient in AWS security services and features of services to provide a secure production environment.
Knowledge of scripting or programming languages (e.
., Python, Bash) for automation of tasks and security checks.
Familiarity with DevSecOps practices integrating security into DevOps processes.
Proven experience with incident response and digital forensics in cloud environments.
Excellent understanding of networking concepts and protocols, as well as experience with network security methods and tools.
Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude with attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating security risks to technical and non-technical audiences.
RESPONSIBILITIES.
Work at the US Central Time Zone Design and develop security architectures for cloud and cloud/hybrid-based systems within AWS.
Implement robust security measures and infrastructure to protect sensitive data and systems in the cloud, including encryption, access control, and network security configurations.
Perform vulnerability testing, risk analyses, and security assessments to identify potential threats and weaknesses in the cloud setup.
Establish and maintain security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Automate security controls to reduce manual workload and improve response times for detecting and mitigating security incidents.
Lead and manage security incident response efforts, including forensic analysis and coordination with stakeholders.
Collaborate with development teams to integrate security practices within the CI/CD pipeline, ensuring secure code deployment and configuration management.
Provide feedback to AWS product teams about security-related features and potential areas for improvement based on real-world usage patterns.
Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls; continuously educating self and team to maintain a cutting-edge approach to cloud security.
