Job Description We are seeking a Senior Genesys Engineer to join our team and accelerate the development of cloud-native applications.
The ideal candidates will be responsible for designing applications that leverage global scale, elasticity, automation, and high availability features in multi-cloud environments.
As part of our team, you will work on business-critical projects, collaborating with customers and solution partners to enhance their use of the platform.
Your primary focus will be on developing integration elements, data models, and APIs that enable data-driven customer engagement at scale.
Responsibilities.
Work as a technical contributor alongside customer business, development, and infrastructure teams.
Using industry best practices to work with our business partners to deliver the right business value.
Pair Programming, Automated Testing, Refactoring, and Continuous Delivery are to be deeply embedded in the way we work.
Lead technical and design discussions with IT executives to help enterprises speed their adoption of the solutions in ways that drive real business value.
Work directly with the Product team to ensure that the data and the business processes that intersect in the Enterprise Applications ecosystem are as efficient and high fidelity as possible.
Communicate and document technical details clearly to various stakeholders of different technical capabilities (VP of IT, Sales Operations, Software Engineer).
Adhere to architectural design standards/microservices patterns, risk management, and security policies, data management policies, leading presentations in architecture review, strategic technology directions, best practice development, mentoring less experienced team members, and code reviews.
Responsible for all elements of the Software Development Lifecycle.
Protect company information assets including systems and data.
Have a security-first mentality to aid in protecting customers, employees, partners, and Glance from damaging acts that are intentional or unintentional.
Qualifications 6+ years of experience building large-scale software applications.
Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in computer science (or equivalent experience).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with proven fluency in English.
Solid understanding of Customer Experience platforms and integration APIs --this includes but is not limited to Genesys, Amazon Connect, and Twillio or equivalent.
As you will be building and running a distributed system across public clouds you will need strong fundamentals in this area plus experience of at least one of the main public cloud providers - AWS/GCP/Azure.
To scale, automation is essential so you will use your existing knowledge and experience to automate large-scale data systems.
Hands-on experience building and maintaining REST microservices (Kubernetes) using NoSQL, Redis, Apache Kafka, and SQL Server or equivalent.
You will need to deliver high-quality, clean code.
Knowledge of RESTful API services.
Experience in supporting and/or implementing complex integration projects.
Working experience in the Agile framework.
Expert knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript and frameworks and tools such as Angular, Bootstrap, jQuery, sockJS, less, and the closure compiler.
Expertise in browser and server-side Javascript, NPM, React, Angular SSR, Node.

Experience with REST web services, JSON and the "fetch" API, CORS, and Content Security Policy.
Experience with Oauth and SAML authentication.
Familiarity with directory services and Identity Providers such as (Azure) Active Directory, Okta, and LDAP.
Familiarity with Browser Extensions for multiple makes and releases of web browsers.
Proven knowledge of web and Internet technologies, proxy servers, firewalls, browser and settings, cookies, etc.
Deep understanding of networking protocols like HTTP(S), TCP/IP, websockets and DNS.
Security standards, especially enterprise-focused, including SAML, JWT, and OAuth.
