English teacher/tutor

I've been currently teaching through online classes using tools such as Zoom and Skype.

I taught business and regular colloquial English for both individuals and small groups most of them employees who worked for either small or medium-sized companies.

Tutored both individuals and small groups of employees from various different sized companies using communicative approach methodology, to this end I would use Oxford’s book texts, one of my main goals was to speed up their understanding of written and spoken English, and in the process, clear out any questions over grammar issues, helping them to attain fluency in the targeted language.

I ministered classes for employees from Petrobras, BNDES, Volkswagen, Firjan, Senai, EBX, Eneva, Eletrobras, Sheraton and Windsor Hotels, etc mainly covering business related subjects as well as regular English, conducting lessons encompassing a range of varied skills, building activities in the four areas of language learning: speaking, writing, reading, and listening, engaging students through activities and emphasizing critical learning in order to strengthen their language fluency confidence, using well-known support materials such as Face to Face (for regular English), as well as Business Result from Cambridge, and Market Leader from Oxford (business related classes), along with extra resources i.e. articles, videos, podcasts, news articles, etc.

Taught mixed groups comprised of teens and young adults averaging 20-25 students using the communicative approach methodology. Administered tests and completed evaluations in order to analyze student performance. Reviewing and correcting homework assignments with an emphasis on providing feedback to each individual, creating a trusting atmosphere through sensitivity to each person’s needs regarding language acquisition, respecting and addressing their strengths, weaknesses, and personal learning styles.

Planned and ministered English language lessons for groups comprised of teenagers, primarily using communicative approach methodology. Instructed them with the aid of textbooks, worksheets, games, and visuals to help improve their reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills.

To be perfectly honest I'm a self taught person, I simply am passionate about English, back in 1990 I took English classes for three months in a school  however I had to quit cause my family couldn't afford it any longer, that didn't extinguish my desire to learn the language though as I kept studying on my own through listening to music, reading and watching movies.
