About the Role.
Market facing underwriter for General Liability business.
Delivers top line and bottom-line plan in accordance with local and regional strategies, target segments, guidelines.
Major responsibilities.
Underwrite and grow profitable General Liability business for Brazilian Market Proactively manage renewal portfolio and identify and develop new business pipelines in the target segments by early engagement with distribution channels and sales.
Meets and exceeds financial plans Form and implement strategies through clear actions plan Work closely with Head Casualty, Customer and Distribution, Operations, and other lines of business underwriters to cross-sell Ready to undertake additional tasks and projects in support of the overall objectives of Brazil team and Casualty community Advocate CorSo's value propositions and build our reputation in the primary Casualty market Accountabilities & Major Functions.
Underwrite and execute profitable casualty business Maintain a high level of technical expertise and leverage it to grow the portfolio Deliver high quality work with enthusiasm, ownership and urgency Ensure all underwriting is in line with underwriting authorities and corporate governance rules Work with cross functional teams in development and execution of business Pro-actively develop and strengthen client relationships to expand business opportunities.
Maintains regular contact with brokers and corporate clients.
Maintains a high market profile and good client relationships Ensure the integrity of data in the relevant information, pricing and analysis systems and other systems Manage cost according to plan About the Team.

Bachelor's degree with 8 or more years of experience in underwriting primary (or single risks) General Liability business and good understanding of local marketplace Strong underwriting capabilities in the following areas.
For General Liability including GL, Product Liability are key lines.
Knowledge and underwriting acumen of International Business Program is an important asset.
Strong track record of developing profitable portfolio Deep industry understanding and insights into markets trends, legal and competitive landscape Client focus with strong solution-oriented mindset.
Able to understand client business and needs (pain points) Ability to navigating ambiguity and adapting to changes Ability to working independently, efficiently and under pressure Good communication skills and can effectively interact with people internally & externally Proven strategic, analytical & problem-solving skills Good decision-making skills with a positive and "can do" attitude.
