The opportunity: DATA SCIENTIST Job Description The Data Scientist will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying advanced analytics solutions that power data-driven decisions across the Zurich organization. You will work with large-scale datasets, implement machine learning models in production environments, and leverage emerging AI technologies including LLMs to solve complex business problems. By combining technical excellence with business acumen, you'll help create a robust data foundation that drives innovation and growth. Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and analytics solutions Source, collect andanalyse newdatasources Work closely with development teams to implement features into production Work closely with business stakeholders to translate complex technical concepts into actionable business insights Research, prototype, and implement emerging AI/ML technologies, particularly in generative AI and modern data science tools Contribute to the development of data science roadmaps and architectural decisions for scalable analytics solutions Requirements University degree in physics, math, computer science or a related field Professional experience in related role and/or demonstrated competency (projects) utilizing relevant technologies Proficient in Python, Java or similar programming languages with experience building production systems. Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, object-oriented design, and software engineering best practices including version control, testing frameworks, and code documentation. Experience in modelling and predictive analytics with experience working with unstructureddata Experience with machine learning tools in bigdataenvironments Practical experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc. ), prompt engineering, and response optimization Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases Strong problem-solving skills, analytical mind and attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience Prior experience in financial institutions (or other similar industries) is a plus Strong proficiency in both English and Portuguese is required, Spanish language skills are a plus Additional Information We look forward to receiving your online application.
