Digital Construction Engineer - This role is based on-site in the UAE and will require relocation. ALEC will be holding interviews in the following cities. As a Digital Construction Engineer, you will be responsible for driving and supporting the implementation of information management processes using Building Information Modelling (BIM) across the lifecycle of a construction project. You will serve as a key liaison between the project management team and external stakeholders (consultants, subcontractors, and clients), ensuring digital deliverables and information workflows align with project and client requirements. While your core focus will be on BIM and data coordination, your scope may also include supporting digital construction technologies such as 3D scanning, drones, field data capture, and robotics. You will play an active role in embedding digital best practices and contributing to the project's digital strategy from planning through handover. Your Role: Support development and communication of BIM and information requirements. Assist in preparing and maintaining project documentation (BEP, MIDP, EIR, LAP, etc. ). Configure and maintain Common Data Environment (CDE) workflows in EDMS platforms. Set up BIM workflows and coordinate 3D models, identifying and resolving clashes. Provide BIM training and guidance to internal departments. Conduct QA/QC checks on models for internal teams and subcontractors. Support digital tendering efforts and contribute to project-level digital reporting. Represent BIM in project coordination and progress meetings. Collaborate on the development of standards, templates, and digital procedures. What We're looking For Strong understanding of ISO 19650 and BS 1192. Proficiency in BIM authoring tools (e. g. , Revit, Tekla, Archicad). Experience in BIM coordination tools (e. g. , Navisworks, Revizto). Familiarity with openBIM standards (IFC, COBie) and model checking (e. g. , Solibri). Knowledge of CDE platforms (Aconex, BIM 360) and scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera). Visual programming (Dynamo) and Power BI experience preferred. Understanding of 4D/5D BIM workflows and outputs. Strong communicator with collaborative mindset.
