IT BUSINESS CONSULTANT PIMS

It Business Consultant Pims - This role will play a key role in the maintenance, optimization, and global expansion of the Production Information Management System (PIMS) landscape — especially with the SAP Digital Manufacturing initiative, for which Brazil will be the first global pilot. You will work in a collaborative and multicultural environment, in close contact with a global team and a German-based manager, providing end-to-end support for OSIsoft PI systems and related architecture components. Key Responsibilities:Administer, install, and configure OSIsoft PI System components and interfacesTroubleshoot, maintain, and optimize real-time data historian performanceCreate and manage PI tags, PI AF, PI Vision dashboards, and PI Batch configurationsEnsure data integrity, security, and consistency across historian layersImplement and manage system cybersecurity (OT security, segmentation, DMZs)Develop reports and dashboards for production insights and operational decision-makingCollaborate on integration projects between PI System, ERP (SAP), LIMS, and other systemsDesign, manage, and support cloud and on-premise data infrastructuresParticipate in global projects, vendor management, and lifecycle planning for PIMSContribute to user training, documentation, and stakeholder communicationTechnical Requirements:Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science, or related areaSolid experience with OSIsoft PI System: interfaces, tag configuration, PI Vision, Asset Framework, PI BatchExperience with real-time system administration and PI security managementProficiency in database management and SQL Server administrationExperience with OPC servers/clients, API integration, and web servicesKnowledge in network architecture: TCP/IP, routing, ports, switches, cablingExperience with firewall setup and configuration (e. G. , Barracuda)Familiarity with Windows Server, VMware/Hyper-V, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS)Understanding of system backup and disaster recovery proceduresProject management experience, preferably in international environmentsSoft Skills:Strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinkingAdaptability in fast-paced, change-driven environmentsClear communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholdersCollaborative team spirit, working across departments and culturesStrong time management and multitasking abilitiesAttention to detail and proactive issue identification.
