Job Description About the role.
The Patient Engagement Marketer for Rare Hematology is directly responsible for leading, maintaining and measuring a range of programs that deliver on brand and unbranded strategic imperative.
We expect you to innovate, find and recommend solutions that will place our promotional messages with patient audiences in an innovative way.
You will serve all hematology brands across the franchise for consumer marketing and branded and unbranded patient education needs.
The key remit of this marketer is aligning franchise strategy to patient messaging, marketing tools and education programs that are fit for purpose to support the Hematology community and business goals.
As an important member of the patient marketing team, you will lead patient/consumer strategy and execution for the hematology franchise’s brand portfolio and report to the Director, Hematology Patient Marketing.
How you will contribute.
Innovate and evaluate patient marketing strategic opportunities and capabilities that support strategic imperatives for HEM portfolio in branded and unbranded channels.
Daily lead in the implementation of patient promotional materials, messaging, and programming, partnering with multiple external agencies and internal stakeholders.
Work closely with the cross functional stakeholders to ensure patient marketing resources support patient educational needs, and ensure that warehoused print materials are available to the CES team (in English and where relevant in Spanish).
The Patient Engagement Marketer role is a high-impact role in the US Hematology franchise requiring leadership, organization, and a cross-functional and customer-facing approach to drive the success of our engagement programs.
Management and accountability of these programs includes budget ownership, patient speaker identification, patient contracting, vendor management, logistical oversight, select content development, identifying areas for program optimization, coordinating patient speaker training, working with the brand marketing teams, professional engagement director, patient educators and field sales team to drive successful execution of the programs, and represent in the review and approval process of promotional initiatives at PRT.
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications.
Bachelor's degree required.
5-7+ years of experience with healthcare promotions, patient and or consumer marketing preferred.
Rare or Ultra rare disease experience preferred.
Must analyze and derive business insights from performance data and market research.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required.
Knowledge of Tableau or similar data visualization software preferred.
Experience managing creative agencies and budgets required.
Experience and knowledge promoting in rare and ultra-rare therapeutic categories strongly preferred.
Responsible for multiple brands, you will have line of sight across the entire Rare Hematology promotional mix and must develop standards/objectives for tactical effectiveness that can help guide other marketers within the patient marketing team.
Manage creative agency and vendor budgets with minimal day-to-day oversight and high accountability.
Highly collaborative with other cross functional partners and must also influence the broader HEM marketing team.
This role must collaborate effectively with the community education team to develop key resources to support the bleeding disorder community.
Cultivate strong, trusting working relationships with PRT reviewers is a strong predictor of success for this role given the size and complexity of tactics taken through review.
Role benefits from an inherent curiosity in how the marketing team is thinking through their promotions, and how other BUs are using virtual resources and other new capabilities.
Coordinate with Corporate Communications and Patient Engagement to make sure that our communications cadences stay appropriate to the moment.
Role requires up to 25% travel to observe market trends and meet customers’ needs.
