Description The Principal Engineer will function as a member of the Technical Leadership Council (TLC) functioning as the SWX wide expert in operating systems and will lead the creation and maintenance of the technical strategy for operating system adoption and customization for SWX projects.
The key position responsibilities of The Principal Engineer include, but are not limited to.
Role Responsibilities.
• Own the software architecture and technical designs for the Domains system across multiple teams within one department, architecting them for scalability, reliability, testability and performance.
• Solve complex problems in a scalable way, working closely with stakeholders from the business and our partners.
• Set your teams up for success by providing technical leadership and expertise to enable them to deliver large scale technical solutions and being a key contributor to the team’s strategic direction.
• Conduct architecture and production readiness checks for Domain Systems.
• Be fundamental in defining test strategies for Domain systems and translate them into actionable plans, the teams can execute.
• Deliver a best-in-class operational excellence by leading and ensuring the right quality of operational processes (e.
.
root cause analysis).
• Build scalable, highly available and resilient applications based on the best cloud stack and languages that suit the business the most.
• Be an active part in hiring for team vacancies and an enabler for the individual growth of team members.
Requisitos.
Qualifications.
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related degree field · A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience · Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
Highly self-motivated.
· Experience in designing and building applications · Programming experience for diverse operating systems and platforms using varying development tools · Analytical thinking and problem-solving capability · Excellent understanding of software design, coding methods, programming principles and best practices · Flexible and adaptable to learn and understand new technologies · Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment · (Preferrable) 3-5 years of experience in Microservice Architecture
