PRODUCTION ENGINEER

Production Engineer - The main focus of this position will be to coordinate and optimize local assembly processes in Brazil, ensuring proper tax classification, compliance with Basic Productive Process (PPB) requirements, maximization of tax credits, and adherence to local regulations (e. G. , ICMS, FCI, NCM). Main Responsibilities: Plan and validate industrialization and local assembly processes for telecom equipment. Analyze and implement PPB (Basic Productive Process) requirements and comply with regulations from the Manaus Free Trade Zone (when applicable). Ensure correct NCM classification and preparation of FCI (Import Content Statement). Work closely with the Tax team to maximize ICMS credits and other incentives. Prepare process flowcharts and technical documentation for industrial processes. Support internal and external audits related to production and inspections from regulatory bodies such as SUFRAMA, Receita Federal, and SEFAZ. Identify cost optimization opportunities through process improvements and BOM (Bill of Materials) reviews. Interface with assembly service providers, outsourced factories, and ZTEs global team. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Production Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. Previous experience with industrialization and assembly processes for electronic or telecom products. Knowledge of tax legislation related to industrialization: ICMS, PPB, FCI, NCM, etc. Advanced Excel skills. Strong ability to read and interpret technical and tax-related documents. Experience in the telecommunications or electronics sector. Knowledge of PROTHEUS, SAP or other ERPs. Experience with projects related to the Manaus Free Trade Zone / SUFRAMA. Intermediate or advanced English (for interaction with ZTE global team).
