RISER\/UMBILICAL PACKAGE ENGINEER

Airswift is looking for a Riser/Umbilical Package Engineer to work in a contractor (6 months) position in Rio de Janeiro for a supply of submarine fiber optic cable systems company.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Support the management of the riser and backbone package throughout the project lifecycle (from tendering, engineering, manufacturing, transportation to installation), considering the constraints of the project disciplines, in particular marine installation, and the technical interfaces.
- He/ She supports the coordination of the engineering activities required during the different phases of the commercial opportunities awarded, as a member of the dedicated commercial proposal team.
For this specific mission on Libra PRM project (Permanent Riser Monitoring), expected to be for 6 months, the following tasks will be undertaken.
- Close out project technical documentation for Client approval - Follow up on Non Conformity Reports including Root Cause Analysis on open items - Manage backbone cable re-spooling in line with specifications - Defining the best technical solution for the client needs, at optimized costs; - Preparing the technical description of the solution and compliance matrix; - Carry out risk analysis on solution proposed (installation, HSE, manufacturing); - Estimating the costs of the solution (equipment and services); - Presenting the solution / study results to the client; - Offshore technical support - He/she supports commercial team on his/her area of technical expertise during business development or tender phase, which involves participating to customer meetings; JOB QUALIFICATIONS ·              Master’s degree (or equivalent) in engineering; ·              Ability to analyse, challenge & summarize technical information; ·              Ability to understand commercial information and implications; ·              Ability to negotiate in an international environment; ·              Enjoy teamwork and information sharing; ·              Ability to adapt quickly to the customer’s needs; ·              Fluent in English & Portuguese.
