•A degree in Computer, Mechanical, Control Systems, Electronics Engineering or related areas; •Strong experience in the automotive industry with vehicle application, supporting quality and product development; •Experience with vehicle-connected data is a strong differential; •Programming skills in SQL, DAX and Python, and in coding versioning management tools (e.
., Bitbucket and Git); •Experience with analyzing large real-world datasets; •Strong planning skills in cross-functional, data-related activities within both agile and waterfall environments; •Competent computer skills in Microsoft Office and Power BI; •Strong communication and presentation skills in Portuguese and English, both spoken and written.
•A commercial vehicle driver’s license is preferred but not a prerequisite.
Activities.
•Lead data-related activities in projects involving new powertrain products and services, maintenance tasks and quality issues; •Simply the understanding of complex data and present it in a structured and clear manner within the context of the automotive industry; •Collaborate with data and application engineers to develop data tools that support decision-making; •Analyze and present data in a summarized and visually appealing way; •Perform data mining and analysis using a range of statistical methods, machine learning, and AI models to uncover patterns and trends from existing data sources; •Keep strong communication within engineering and Volvo Groups brands; •Identify and integrate new datasets that can enhance product capabilities, working closely with engineering teams to develop data-driven solutions; •Participate in global Communities of Practices.
