We are looking for a Java Software Engineer with strong technical expertise, deep understanding of backend architecture, and experience in the financial sector to join a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and capable of leading complex solution design while bridging the gap between technology and business goals. What will you do? Lead the design and implementation of backend technical solutions using Java and SpringBoot, within a microservices-based architecture. Ensure adherence to architectural frameworks, coding standards, and best practices in highly regulated financial environments. Collaborate with business stakeholders and support commercial discussions involving technical feasibility and solutioning. Contribute to the design of backend systems supporting banking processes such as trade settlement, reconciliations, FX, and cash management. Maintain and evolve complex systems with a focus on scalability, resilience, and high availability. Implement robust strategies for monitoring, alerts, metrics, and testing (e. g. , TDD, BDD). Mentor development teams and promote a high-performance engineering culture. Participate actively in Agile delivery processes and ensure technology solutions align with business outcomes. What are we looking for? Must Have: 4+ years of backend development experience in Java, preferably in financial services. Proficiency in: SpringBoot, SpringCloud, Event-Driven Architecture, Kafka, Redis HA, Exadata, MQ. Solid understanding of financial operations (trade settlement, reconciliations, FX, cash flow). Strong ability to collaborate across business and IT teams; experience in risk evaluation and product discovery. Advanced technical knowledge in: Hexagonal Architecture; Domain-Driven Design (DDD); Test-Driven Development (TDD) and Behavior-Driven Development (BDD); Java 21; Reactive and Functional Programming. Experience with: OpenShift, GitHub Workflows, CI/CD pipelines; RESTful APIs, unit and integration testing; S3, XML/XSD; Security and Quality Gates (SAST, DAST); Resilience patterns and API-first design. Solid grasp of distributed systems and SWIFT message standards (MX, MT). Fluent English (spoken and written). Strong leadership, communication, adaptability, mentoring, and teamwork skills. Fluency in English . Strong soft skills: communication, flexibility, accountability, teamwork, positive attitude, and mentorship abilities. Nice to Have: Experience in technical pre-sales or commercial engagements in banking projects. Knowledge of financial products and markets: Derivatives, Fixed Income, FX, ETDs, and Energy. Experience developing new treasury solutions. Familiarity with tools such as: Ansible Tower, Grafana, Prometheus, Sonar, Keycloak, APIConnect. Background with transactional banking systems and high-performance API development. Fluency in Spanish What do we offer?
