About the Role As a Senior NatCat Parametric Underwriter, you'll be at the forefront of Swiss Re's parametric insurance evolution, combining technical expertise with commercial acumen to develop, underwrite, and market parametric solutions for natural catastrophe risks globally.
This role has a flexibie location, so it can be based in.
Mumbai, India; Singapore, Singapore; Sao Paulo, Brasil; Zurich, Switzerland; or Mexico City, Mexico.
Key Responsibilities Manage and develop Swiss Re's NatCat parametric portfolio with a focus on sustainable growth Underwrite and price parametric covers for earthquake, tropical cyclone, and flood risks Structure and cost sophisticated weather and remote sensing parametric solutions Market and sell Swiss Re NatCat parametric products to clients and brokers Engage with treaty clients and brokers to understand their needs and tailor solutions Drive product development and standardization of Swiss Re's parametric product offerings in collaboration with peers in cat modeling.
Enhance tools and capabilities by developing parametric tools, conducting trainings, and facilitating global adoption Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders in a proactive and transparent manner About the Team The Parametric Center of Excellence operates within Global Specialty – Agriculture & Parametric and is embedded in the P&C Reinsurance Business Units.

We are looking for candidates who meet these requirements.
University degree in a quantitative discipline such as Mathematics, Physics or other suitable Environmental Sciences Minimum 5-7 years of proven experience in pricing NatCat parametric products Solid understanding of reinsurance underwriting principles and pricing methodologies Practical experience working with satellite imagery and meteorological datasets Track record in marketing and selling (re)insurance or parametric products Knowledge of emerging technologies and trends in parametric insurance Strong analytical mindset with demonstrated data science capabilities These are additional nice to haves.
