SR. SOFTWARE ENGINEER, IOS - UBER FLASH AND DIRECT

This role will help lead the product development for these products and manage a mix of managers and individual contributors.</p><p>Uber Flash (aka Connect) allows any consumer to request a delivery from or to any other consumer within their city.
This can be anything from sending documents for signature or returning forgotten keys.
The Uber Rider app is the entry point here.</p><p>Uber Direct is our business level offering.
We allow merchants to create deliveries by either using our Dashboard product or directly integrating with our public API.
This lets a merchant add delivery services to their existing website or app.</p><h2><strong>Minimum qualifications:</strong></h2><ul><li><p>PhD or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related field <strong>OR</strong> 5-years full-time Software Engineering work experience, which includes experience in one or more of the following areas:</p></li><li><p>Native iOS</p></li><li><p>iOS swift, iOS objective C</p></li></ul><p><strong>Technical skills:</strong></p><p>Preferred:</p><ul><li>Buck/Bazel</li><li>Cross-platform (iOS and Android)</li></ul><p>We welcome people from all backgrounds who seek the opportunity to help build a future where everyone and everything can move independently.
